Thanks to its WiFi readiness the S8100 can be connected to a wireless network or a mobile hotspot to download maps, software or POI updates. Via Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP) is available. Due to the built-in FM transmitter, the vehicle‘s internal speaker can be used for playback of audio signals and navigation announcements. Delivery includes a protective bag.

Navigation system with 5“ or 7“ display and motorhome specific software which calculates the safest and most efficient route, considering the particular requirements of motorhomes and caravans to the route, like clearance, turning circle, load carrying capacity and road condition. Therefore before starting a trip, a profile of the vehicle containing specific data like dimensions, weight, emission class and presence of a trailer has to be saved. Profiles of up to 10 vehicles can be stored. Thus dangerous spots like too low bridges, narrow streets, streets closed for trailers or bridges with load limitation can be bypassed. Furthermore the system automatically warns reliably of potentially dangerous situations, like steep rises and difficult descents, narrow curves, crosswinds or schools. An extensive collection of camp sites and motorhome parking lots (ACSI, Bordatlas, Alan Rogers and Camperstop) in 36 European countries has been implemented. Various characteristics (like coastal vicinity, restaurants, swimming pool, water sports) can be selected individually of approx. 9000 campsites and approx. 15,500 motorhome parking lots. All models are ready for an optional Tyre Pilot tire pressure monitoring system. The sensors transfers collected data wirelessly to a transmitter and then via Bluetooth to the navigation system. With its range of more than 40 m, the system is capable of monitoring up to 16 tires with pressure of 8 bar.
